One of these companies is Timbuk2, a messenger bag company that operates right out of San Francisco. Since 2000, local manufacturing has been on a rapid decline, so Timbuk2 needed Citi's help to expand their operations and continue to revive local manufacturing in the Mission District. 

In addition to TImbuk2, Citi has been involved in a number of other similar partnerships.
